About Essembly

What is Essembly?
Essembly is a free, non-partisan social networking site that provides tools for politically interested individuals to connect with one another, engage in constructive discussion, and organize to take action.
Our Mission Statement
Essembly was created by a group of college students frustrated with the increasing dominance of money and special interests in the political process. At the same time, labels like "liberal" and "conservative", "Democrat" and "Republican", had deeply divided and polarized Americans, limiting the potential for constructive political discussion. We felt that our voices were falling on deaf ears, drowned out by deep pockets and uncompromising ideologues. Essembly emerged as an attempt to use online social networking technology to stimulate bipartisan discussion and provide tools for individuals to connect with one another for the purpose of political collaboration, organization and action. Our objective is to make the tools of the political elite available to all Americans and increase individual participation in the democratic process at every level.

Essembly is free to all and fiercely non-partisan.
Essembly Beta Release
Essembly is currently in its beta release. While there are still minor glitches to fix and more features to add, the site can support a full range of user activity and accommodate a significant increase in membership over a short period of time. During the beta release, we have three principal goals: 1) to bring a diverse range of individuals and groups into the essembly community, 2) to develop new features that will be incorporated in essembly's 2.0 launch, and 3) to fix any bugs that still remain in the site. You can help us by inviting individuals and groups to join the site and sending suggestions for new features or notifying us of persistent bugs to support@essembly.com. Thank you for your consistent support of and continued involvement in the essembly community.
